One of the toughest obstacles to overcome in designing a theater inside a client's home is to separate that room from the rest of the house. The ambient sound in the rest of the house should not be affected by a functioning home theater. Properly engineered sound isolation, using SoundCor in combination of single or double layer drywall, will achieve that goal. In multi story structures we employ a suspended ceiling design that isolates the ceiling from the floor joists above, therefore minimizing the sound transfer from one room to another.
